ULTIMATE COLLECTION GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR DOORS AND CASEMENT WINDOWS
1. PROFILE.
Profile depth 70mm.
Multichamber for insulation purposes.
Concealed drainage – no visible drainage holes or caps.
Concealed gaskets – clearline glazing.
Fully reinforced with either galvanised steel or aluminium to factory engineer’s specification.
Fully welded corners for added structural strength.
Standard frame has bevelled appearance. Rustique sculptured frame is also available.
2. SECURITY AND HARDWARE.
All frames are internally beaded for maximum security.
All opening casement vents are fitted with security claws to aid closing and to provide additional security to the vents when closed.
All opening casement vents have multi-point locking mechanisms.
All opening vents have lockable handles.
All opening casement vents have a lockable ventilating position for secure trickle ventilation.
All doors are fitted with multi-point hook, deadbolt and mushroom mechanisms.
3. GLAZING.
Standard sealed units are 28mm wide, comprising two skins of 4mm float glass with a 20mm spacer bar.
Standard units comply with UK Legislation Document ‘L’ regarding insulation properties, and are gas-filled with the inner skin utilising Pilkington ‘K’ glass. (We are advised that the provisions of Document ‘L’ are to be adopted in Guernsey by Building Control).
All door sealed units and any window sealed units within 1 metre of a door or below 800mm from level (inside or outside) will comprise two skins of 4mm tempered toughened glass with a 20mm spacer bar.
All door sealed units comply with UK Legislation Document ‘L’ regarding insulation properties, and are gas-filled with the inner skin utilising Pilkington ‘K’ glass.
All Ultimate Collection door sealed units, which incorporate tempered toughened glass, will also meet all current UK safety and security requirements, unlike doors with other combinations of glass.
4. WARRANTY.
All doors and windows from the Ultimate Collection come with a fully comprehensive 10-year warranty, covering profile, sealed units, flat or sculptured panels, hardware (handles, hinges and locking mechanisms) and instillation work.
Warranty is given in writing and remains with the property should the property be sold during the duration of the warranty period (subject to advice of sale of property).
Warranty is dependent on normal maintenance having been carried out by the householder.
